Bomb Steak



This steak turned out very very awesome.  I had to go get a new propane tank and was cursing the store because the gas was coming out very slow to the grill -- I thought I got a defected tank.  As a result the steak cooked very slowly for a while.  After tinkering with the grill a little bit, the gas picked up full blast and cooked the steak in no time.  I think the slow cooking brought the juices even more.  Friends David a Trey cooked steak and lamb filets which also turned out awesome.

Bomb Osso Buco



First attempt at this dutch oven dish form a great cook book I got for Christmas, http://www.amazon.com/Braises-Stews-Everyday-Slow-Cooked-Recipes/dp/0811860558 -- Thanks Dad and Sandy!!!

This was my first time cooking with veal and man is it expensive -- the recipe is for 6 veal shanks but I only found and was willing to purchase two.  My oven tends to over cook, but regardless -- its really hard to overcook slow cooking recipes.  It didn't quite turn out like the picture but it was still pretty bad ass.

Next attempt from this cookbook will be the Winter Market Chicken -- coming soon.

Bomb Omelet



This omelet is definitely the prettiest one I've made.  Inside the omelet: maple sausage, cheese, and a little onion.  Sparse yes -- I never seem to have any good omelet fixins on hand. Biggest trick I've learned in making a Bomb Omelet -- after the well whisked eggs have started to thicken in the pan, push up a little bit, tilt the pan, and fill in the exposed pan with the running eggs. 

Bomb Chicken Alfredo with Vegetables



After attempting to make Alfredo from a horrible recipe from allrecipes.com, I used a pre-made jar from the grocery store.  I used the "Steamers" vegetables from the frozen section.  Although the name isn't all that appetizing they worked well.  I supplemented the vegetables with a pack of frozen carrots.  This dish turned out awesome -- and is good for probably about 2 1/2 meals.
